South Korean actors Park Hyung-sik and Park Shin-hye have been spotted by fans, recently, filming for their upcoming romantic comedy series, Doctor Slump.

K-drama fans took to social media to share photos and videos of the duo at a park, wearing school uniforms, while shooting for a scene.

The two are reuniting about 10 years after they last worked together on the hit teen romance series, The Heirs. Last Friday, the two actors were seen sharing a selfie from the 59th Baeksang Arts Awards, where they were also presenting one of the awards.

Doctor Slump, will be helmed by director Oh Hyun Jong, whose previous works include Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo and written by scriptwriter Baek Sun Wo of What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim fame.

In the new drama, Park Hyung Sik will play the role of Yeo Jung Woo, a skilled plastic surgeon who falls into the greatest slump in his life.

After being the top student at the best medical school, he becomes a star doctor but gets pushed to the edge following a mysterious medical accident.

Park Shin Hye will play an anesthesiologist Nam Ha Neul experiencing burnout syndrome. From a studious child, she becomes a workaholic doctor, living her life without any fun. However, she suddenly resolves to change one day.

According to a description on IMDb.com, an online database of information related to films and television series, the drama follows the growth and love between the two main characters, who quit their jobs as doctors and live in a rooftop house.

Both of their agencies responded to the casting reports. According to Park Shin Hye's agency Salt Entertainment, the actress is positively considering the casting offer. Park Hyung Sik's side also commented and revealed that the idol actor is also reviewing the k-drama positively. 

Doctor Slump is a romantic comedy series that will tell the stories of doctors who are currently experiencing slumps. The K-drama will showcase how they will resuscitate and return to their lives. 

Park Shin Hye received the offer to play the role of Nam Ha Neul. Park Hyung Sik got the offer to star as Yeo Jeong Woo.

If ever Park Hyung Sik decided to star in the series, this will be his first ever doctor character since his debut. Meanwhile, this will be the second time that Park Shin Hye will star in a medical series.

If Park Shin Hye and Park Hyung Sik confirm their casting, this will be their reunion after 10 years. The two worked together as classmates in the 2013 hit series The Heirs. 

This will possibly be the comeback of Park Shin Hye in the K-drama world after getting married and giving birth. She last starred in the 2021 K-drama Sisyphus: The Myth. 2022 was a remarkable year for the actress as she got married in January and gave birth to her first son in May.

Meanwhile, if Park Hyung Sik confirms his casting, this will be his second upcoming k-drama. He will also lead the upcoming series Youth, Climb the Barrier with Jeon So Nee, Yoon Jong Seok, Pyo Ye Jin, Lee Jong Hyuk, and Jung Shi Woo. He last starred in the 2022 Disney+ series Soundtrack #1. Popular Korean actors Park Shin Hye and Park Hyung Sik will reunite as doctors in an upcoming new drama as reported on November 30.

Park Hyung Sik has been approached for playing Yeo Jung Woo and is also reportedly reviewing the proposal according to his agency P&Studio.

Park Shin Hye and Park Hyung Sik have previously worked together in the popular K-drama ‘The Heirs’ though not opposite each other. This will be the first time they will be paired in a romantic role giving the fans another fabulous couple to look forward to. The rom-com has been reported to begin filming next year after casting is confirmed.

Almost a decade after The Heirs released, Park Shin-hye and Park Hyung-sik are in talks to reunite for a new medical-themed K-drama. The actors have reportedly been offered the lead roles in the K-drama Doctor Slump (literal title). If they accept the roles, this will be their first drama in which they will be cast opposite each other. How we wish Lee Min-ho was involved as well!

Both their agencies have confirmed that the actors have been offered the role. Via Soompi, Park Shin Hye’s agency SALT Entertainment said, “Park Shin Hye has received the offer to star in Doctor Slump and she is positively reviewing the offer.” Park Hyung Sik’s agency P&Studio also said, “He is positively reviewing the offer to star in Doctor Slump.”

If accepted, Park Shin-hye will be seen playing the role of Nam Ha-neul while Park Hyung-sik would play Yeo Jung-woo. The rom-com story revolves around two doctors who live in a rooftop house after having quitting their jobs at the hospital.

If not in a pivotal role, we hope Lee Min-ho and Kim Woo-bin at least make a cameo if Park Shin-hye and Park Hyung-sik agree to do the show.

Meanwhile, it has been a big year for Park Shin-hye and Park Hyung-sik. Park Shin-hye tied the knot earlier this year with her long-term boyfriend Choi Tae-joon. The actors welcomed their first child a few months later. If she accepts the role, this will be her first series since she got married and welcomed her baby.
